Carnival Inspired

The Notting Hill carnival is Europe’s largest street festival, a chance to dress up, drink, listen to music and maybe cause a little havoc, probably not too dissimilar to any other festival!  Anyway, it was actually this event that inspired me to put this look together and in terms of carnival attire without sounding too much like I am blowing my own trumpet I think I’ve nailed it. But really, how can you go wrong when you have Bob Marley on your tee.

I actually think this look works really well together; if your looking to create a hour glass figure there is no better way to do it than by a high waisted skirt and tee. I should probably point out that for some reason this skirt came up extra tight on me and I embarrassingly nearly couldn’t do it up! The one I am wearing is a size 6 so if you were to give it a go I would suggest ordering a size up from what you normally choose.

Obviously I would recommend this look for Carnivals or festivals but at the same time understand festival season is nearly over (sad, sad times) but keep it ready for any day time, chilled vibe days.
