Refusing to play it safe in black

Hi everyone,

So its been a while since I did a whole blue and white teamed outfit blog post (though it’s not as though they are exactly mandatory). I’ve mentioned previously about having a soft spot for these colours together as they are the colours of my(well half of me) national flag – that of Finland. This time however, in keeping with the season, I’ve gone for a more wintery blue and white.

The winter months generally bring out a darker colour palette in our wardrobes and rightly so but I don’t want to always play it safe with black dresses just because ‘its winter’.If I had chosen a pale blue and white dress yes I could have looked out of place but the cream and dark blue of this one are a perfect combination for lightening up a cold and dark winter’s day. I really loved wearing this dress and I think everything about it is stunning, from the detailing, to the fabric, to the fit. I highly recommend it for parties and when you are wearing a dress this pretty it can’t help but make you feel that much prettier too.

    Love your blog and style!

    – I’m actually one your Finnish readers (also living in London) but still decided to write this in English! 😀
