A day at the Races with ‘PrettyLittleThing’

On Friday I was lucky enough to be invited to spend Ladies day at Aintree with the lovely girls at PrettyLittleThing ( PLT). It was all pretty full on and hard work drinking champagne and chatting in the sunshine and it wasn’t until around 4.00pm that I thought it might be a good idea to check out the horses too! Now a lot of people might have been there for the horse racing but Aintree on ladies day is also fashion blogger heaven, for where ever you looked there was another amazing(and sometimes not so amazing) outfit on show.

As for my outfit – as soon as I saw this pink blazer on the PLT website I was like ‘yes, that’s exactly what I’ll be wearing’. The blazer is so pretty and feminine and yet smart – just right for a day at the races, it sort of has a ‘Balmain’ feel to it but of course at a fraction of the price. I decided to pair the blazer with black trousers but this could also look lovely with a little black or white lace dress. Despite my shoes being relatively high I managed to keep them on throughout the day and it wasn’t until the very end that they started to get just a tad uncomfortable. I love a day out at the races, it’s a perfect opportunity to dress up, take pretty photos (otherwise why go?!) and enjoy yourself.
