I’ve just got back from another countryside getaway, this time in West Sussex at the very lovely Park House hotel. I had an extremely relaxing time(how could I not) in this beautiful spa hotel and have also managed to have fallen in love with another part of England.
For me, the best thing about my stay was the wonderful spa. You could almost get lost in the massive pool. As well as the pool, there was also a hot tub, sauna, and steam room and then off that was a quiet relaxation area with a selection of herbal teas on tap. On my second day here I booked an hour long hot stone massage which is something I have never tried before but was absolute bliss! It involved lying on what felt like a heated blanket and being massaged to a state of jelly-like relaxation. I felt as if I could go to sleep for several days afterwards!
The food at the hotel was another highlight and was delicious. Breakfast is my favorite meal to eat out and the hotel’s full English breakfast scored very highly in my books, eaten in a dining room looking out over the frosty morning countryside.
Finally, the room I stayed in was perfect. I had the family suite which included it’s own cute garden area, although that might well come more into its own during the summer. The bed and pillows were super soft and I had a really good nights sleep, all no doubt helped by the countryside air and the relaxing spa. I couldn’t recommend the Park House Hotel more for when you just know you need that break from Urban life.
