On Friday I was fortunate enough to be invited to Henley Royal Regatta with Debenhams for what was the most perfect summer’s day of beautiful weather, top level rowing and fashion to die for. English summer at it’s best, with blue skies, champagne and canapés , frocks and fascinators.
I arrived at Henley at midday to meet up with other blogger friends and with glasses of ‘Pimms’ in hand we wandered down to the river to take photos and enjoy the happy festive atmosphere. However,to be honest I could have spent the whole day just looking at all the different pretty outfits and elegant suits on display.
I wore a white linen dress which turned out to be the most perfect material to chose on such a hot day and I paired it with the cutest of pink fascinators together with nude heels. I think this was the first time in my life I’ve worn a fascinator and I’ve got to say it was a great fun experience. It made me feel very very sophisticated! As for the heels, they were from the Call it Spring range– I couldn’t recommend them enough, I must have been wearing them for around 10 hours and yet by the end of the day my feet didn’t hurt at all. They really were, as heels go, the comfiest I have worn for a long time.
Overall I loved this summer’s day outfit and having a reason to dress up cute, sophisticated and feminine. If you have any summer parties or events coming up, check out the dresses on the Debenhams website. You’ll find there so many different styles and looks for a whole variety of summer occasions.
