New York

I’ve just got back from one of my favourite trips, not only of the year but of my life. I had an amazing time exploring New York with The blogger program and the other influencers they manage.

We flew to the states with United. It was my first time flying with this airline and it was a very pleasant journey. A couple of the other bloggers on the trip and myself made good use of the Champaign in the lounge before our flight and I watched two films before getting to America.

We stayed at the w Hoboken which had the most incredible view looking over New York and every morning I draw the curtains it felt just as exciting as when I first saw it. I would always do my make up on the floor by the window and felt so lucky to be able to look up to such an amazing view and city.

Me and my room mate both loved having the heating on high so in the evenings after walking what felt like a million miles we could get all cosy in bed and have snacks and watch Netflix. Below I am wearing a set from Figleaves new range.

Before flying out to New York I used Maria nila shampoo, conditioner and hair mask and it honestly made such a difference of my hair looking shiny and like it had some life to it.

On our first day in New York we went for a makeup master class with Artis brushes. The girls that gave the class were so inspiring and we were lucky enough to be able to try the brushes and take one home. I’ve been using my foundation brush every single day ever since. They are the best make up brushes I have tried to date.

After the makeup glass we took some photos around the city (as let’s be honest when your on a trip with bloggers it’s all about snap snap snapping away) and after that we went to the top of the rock which is what I was most excited to do. Nycgo provided us with passes  and I think this photo of this view says it all.

We ended the day with dinner at Mr purple which again had a view to die for. It was such a fun vibe and restaurant and I would recommend anyone who’s coming to New York to check it out.

As the days went on, we had a lot of free time to explore where we wanted etc but would then all come together again in the evenings for dinner and drinks. It was always nice to catch up on everyone’s day and tips they had for places to see and visit. On Saturday evening we went all met at Cleo at the Mondrain for rooftop cocktails and dinner and the food was insane. I don’t normally drink espresso martinis but it was the best one I had ever drank.

On Sunday I got to experience a New York brunch as I know they are known for there brunches. We went to magic hour rooftop and had the yummiest pancakes in the world. I figured I couldn’t leave America before having one of there famous pancakes.

Finally, on our last day we went to the west village which for me, was the cutest part of New York and a place I would recommend visiting for a day if you get the chance. I had lunch at a restaurant called Olio e Piu and it was the tastiest Italian food. The staff were all really accommodating and there was such a lovely, calm feeling to the place.

Overall I had the most incredible time in New York and I’d love to go back to the start and do it all over again. I am so very lucky to have been taken on this trip by The Blogger Programme.
